When I first heard about Luz, it was from Jc and his buddies from work. They were talking about how she fits in with the guys and has this mean, loud, and downright raunchy personality. So, what did I think? I HAVE TO MEET THIS GIRL! When I finally met Luz in person, she totally lived up to the gossip and I loved it. She is, by far, the most fun, eccentric, crazy, beautiful, and caring person you can ever meet. James has a really awesome and outgoing personality, also. (And he could be Vin Diesel's stunt double) haha!
I was so excited to document the love between this couple! I didn't even need to pose them. I just stood there with my camera and captured genuine moments between them. There was a lot of groping, nose picking, kissing, kissing, and... oh yea! KISSING! I am very excited to share this lovely couple with you.

Personal post: kitchen decor

I FINALLY got my wonderful counterpart to agree in letting me redecorate our kitchen!! We have been living in our home for over two years and the only room (besides our bathroom) we need to decorate is the kitchen. My goal is shabby chic: here are a few crafts I have been working on.

Movember

For those of you that know me personally, you know that every family member I have lost, I have lost to some form of cancer. I have been praying about how I can give back to my community or simply help someone, somewhere, in some way or another. Every month I will have fund raising shoots and 75% of all proceeds will go to the cause of choice for that month. This month is Movember. I have many men in my life that I love dearly and I am doing this in honor of them. To learn more about Movember, please click here.

This month I will be setting up shoots at a special price in hopes of hitting my goal of raising $1,000. Every session will have a special pose with craft mustaches (or real one, if you have one to flaunt) and will be featured on my blog. At the end of the month, the person/family to donate the most money to this cause will win a really special surprize!! Pumpkin Patch

About a week ago, I had the opportunity to photograph three adorable children. One of which, is the daughter of an amazing lady. I have known Natalie for a few years and I absolutely adore this woman. She is, easily, one of the strongest and most determined women I know. As a single mother, she still finds the time to work and attend school to take care of her daughter. Natalie, thank you for the opportunity and for being such a great woman and mother. Love you lady!

 

BBF: Baby Best Friends

I first met Jennifer when I was pregnant with my son. Not too long after we were blessed with his birth, we found out she was pregnant with Shelby Rose. For as long as I have known the Dahlen family, they have always been such great people and friends to us. When I was given the opportunity to document their beautiful baby girl, I was so excited! Jennifer thought it would be a great idea to take some photos of her daughter with her baby best friend, Kaydence. I am very happy to say, she was totally right! These girls, although becoming crabby very quickly, were far too adorable. These creative and fall inspired props were put together by Jennifer Dahlen and Chelsee Miller.  :)

Friends for life: Michelle & Amanda

Let me start by saying that Michelle and Amanda were absolutely hilarious to listen to! Their personalities were so sassy, which made for a very witty sense of humor. I could tell they were a little uncomfortable at first, but once they started talking and joking around with one another, I captured one beautiful shot after another.

Michelle and Amanda have been best friends for about five years. Their friendship began through past relationships and together they found strength to move forward together as friends and separate from those relationships. Amanda has two children and by simply hearing her talk about them, you can tell how much she loves and adores them. Michelle is expecting her first and is not too far along, but I know she will be an amazing mother.

A 'happy birthday' session.

For my very first post, I wanted to photograph someone that means a great deal to me. In many ways, I look up to my little sister. She is only ten and she already possesses a compassion and love for life and her family that cannot be easily matched. I have always shared a special bond with her, from the moment I witnessed her birth. It's so silly to admit, but I would trust my little sister with my life. It has been a bittersweet experience watching her grow and mature and fly through emotions that I felt at her age (and sometimes handle them better). I see so much of myself in her and I am so proud to be her big sissy. I love you Alyssa! And I am always here for you.

My baby sister, Alyssa Nicole Viernes, has reached a decade.
